I feel for you about the veggie issue - I have a small container garden this year, and nothing has provided fruit or veggies. I did notice that I have three blossoms on my pumpkin plant though!

I'll keep watching the blog for updates.Patricialynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16656235987162214880noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27813428.post-55287090376113515192011-08-29T09:45:09.032-07:002011-08-29T09:45:09.032-07:00I find my hunger takes a while to kick in and my h...I find my hunger takes a while to kick in and my hungry days come the day after the effort. I know I need to do an update, but since our yard reconstruction project has been underway, I have NO garden, half a chicken coop, my chickens are molting since their light isn't hooked up, and everything is a mess. I'm definitely a total fail as an urban farmer this year! Not a single veggie :-(Robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17297237900094898777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27813428.post-17586521101191856202011-08-28T09:57:48.698-07:002011-08-28T09:57:48.698-07:00Off topic, I know, but I didn't know of any ot...Off topic, I know, but I didn't know of any other way to reach you. Are you discontinuing your Urban Farm blog? I had just started following you - and really enjoyed reading your previous entries - and you stopped updating.Patricialynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16656235987162214880noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27813428.post-41958426360661930302011-08-27T10:18:53.456-07:002011-08-27T10:18:53.456-07:00Thanks Robin! What a wake up call for us!! I wish everyone understood more about the source of their food. We have decided to make some major changes in our grocery selections.

You mentioned calorie intake. I think you may be on to something with the app. Perhaps tracking how much is going in/out might be a helpful for me. While weightloss isn't a goal for me, ensuring I am getting enough fuel is important. You mentioned good fats. Last summer we began drinking coconut milk. So yummy but not sure if the health benefits are is great as plain coconut oil.

Your biking tips were helpful! I didn't even think about using a blinky light during the day. My biking jerseys are pretty girly so I am covered there. =) I have kept up with my training through this annoying cold. Although one workout turned into just a bike ride instead of a brick.

Off to ride! Have a great weekend.

LauraThreeBoysFullhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15863983245753001023noreply@blogger.com
